Service of Due Process

Service of Process | Serving Papers Service | Private Investigates

An assignment we often get asked to provide is for the service of legal documents, aka process serving.

Types of Due Process We Serve

Such documents could be summons & complaints, plaintiff's claim & orders, subpoenas, orders to show cause, writs of mandate, restraining orders, orders to appear, et al.

We help all people get their documents served, but we are mainly known for our work on complex and challenging serves which dovetail into our surveillance and people locate skillset because such jobs require seasoned professionalism and usually entail an unknown upfront investment of time.

Serve Someone Yourself Option or Higher Average Process Server

Simple serves can be done by anyone and we encourage you to find companies which routinely do this, especially if you feel the serve will be straight forward. In certain situations, even a close friend of yours or adult family member not a party to your legal action can serve such papers without any cost to you. You should consider this if you believe there won't be any drama to the exchange. (It's not advisable, though, for family law matters where emotions invariably can run high. Let a professional handle these tricky services.)

Cost of Hiring a San Francisco Bay Area Process Server

With decades of experience successfully overcoming complicated process serving situations, our firm specializes mainly in this area when asked for service of process. The basic price package is $350 for the service plus a minimum 4 hours of stakeout time.

Often, the situation is:

1) a person is elusive,

2) their living situation has a number of security obstacles for us to clear, and/or

3) the client has learned the time window when the person being served is home is ambiguous.

This latter circumstance is frequently encountered after a regular process serving company has failed to perform the job. We see it all the time. That's where we step in.
